The Touchstones Discussion Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Annapolis, Maryland that was created by three tutors from St. John’s College. These tutors saw first-hand the results of the college’s discussion-based approach to instruction and recognized that learners of all ages could build self-confidence, awareness and critical thinking skills by having access to discussion-based learning and teaching. Today, Touchstones Discussions take place across the United States in schools, workplaces, prisons and senior centers as well as in several locations overseas.
