"Every two seconds someone in America needs blood," according to the American Red Cross.

That is why IPA Charities, the charitable foundation of International Profit Associates, decided in 2004 to support their cause on a regular basis. Every year, IPA-IBA employees host a blood drive at the Buffalo Grove, Illinois headquarters in order to assist with high demand of quality blood products and donations. The willing participants and donors have consistently exceeded the expectations of the American Red Cross.

The annual blood drives have provided almost 100 units of blood products through the years, resulting in assistance to patients across the country . They are a powerful way to serve the community and allow all employees the opportunity to make a difference.

IPA Charities 4th Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 26, 2007. In the summer months, blood supplies drop while the need for blood and blood products rise.

The American Red Cross provides nearly half of the nation’s blood supply to patients in 3,000 hospitals across the country through its national network. They must collect blood donations on a daily basis to meet the needs of accident victims, cancer patients and children with blood disorders. They work to achieve this through 36 Blood Services regions.
