IPA Charities Supports American Cancer Society

IPA Charities has contributed $10,000 to the American Cancer Society .

Because of this contribution, IPA Charities has been named a member of The Society. The Society includes the American Cancer Society’s most dedicated donors. The Society’s generosity helps to accomplish the following: fund new cancer treatment technologies and research, reduce cancer in minority and other medically underserved groups, provide everyone access to free cancer information and support community programs that help patients and their families cope with cancer.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer has a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service. With more than two million volunteers nationwide, the American Cancer Society is one of the oldest and largest voluntary health agencies in the United States.

Through the generosity and unwavering support of the organization’s donors and volunteers, the American Cancer Society has led the cancer fight in the United States for 94 years. The American Cancer Society has exhibited tremendous progress with a current five-year survival rate of 65 percent vs. 10 percent when the organization was originally founded in 1913. More importantly, the American Cancer Society currently celebrates 14 million survivors.
